Let it snow!

This is the sight that greeted me this morning - 2 to 4 cm of snow. My initial delight at the season's first snowfall was soon squashed by the terrible highway conditions. My zippy one hour drive to Woodstock turned into a cautious one hour and forty-five minute crawl. Of course, the roads were fine on the way home, and I'm really glad I nixed plans to stay overnight up river.

I know the snow won't last, because it's supposed to be 10 degrees tomorrow. So today, I took a few minutes to breathe in the thick, snowy air and revel in the loveliness of it all. Hopefully there's more on the way!
