Anne of Green Gables - '70s BBC Anne of Avonlea
Double squee! How delightful is this gem? How cool is it to see Barbara Hamilton as Marilla? She was the original Marilla in Charlottetown, and I think she also performed the role in the West End production. I love her accent, and I love hearing the other actors try to sound Canadian.

That is so weird! I can't believe there was actually a BBC version. And Barbara Hamilton as Marilla... weird. In the movie she's Rachel Lynd, isn't she? The other actors totally sound like they're trying to be Canadian... at one point the actor playing Gilbert sounded to me like he was Elvis or something. crazy!
