Cream of celery surprise.
Faced with an abundance of celery in my fridge, tonight I made this recipe for cream of celery soup. It sounded easy enough - throw all the ingredients into a pot and boil. Which I did. My only misstep was putting the lid on the pot. You see, the soup had milk in it, and for some reason, when you boil milk in a lidded pot, it likes to rapidly rise out of the pot and flow like a waterfall all over the burner.
Which is what happened in my case. Now I know.
That being said, the soup turned out really yummy. It was probably the combination of milk and butter that made it taste so good. Definitely a keeper.
And now, back to cleaning my stove...
