Way too darn hot

Gah. It's too hot to be alive today. Seriously. Even breathing makes me sweaty today. As a result, I am heading over to M's house, because he has an outside and a basement and himself, so I think I'll be much more comfortable. This weekend he bought a set of zero gravity chairs, and we spent a large amount of time sitting and reading in the shade. Because that's all one can do in this wretchedly warm weather.

Recently I attempted to further my membership in the Church of Catherine by donating blood. I have meaning to do this for a while, and a blood-typing clinic at work finally gave me the motivation to make my first appointment. Imagine my disappointment when they had to prematurely stop my donation because my veins were too small and the blood was not flowing properly. Also imagine my extreme embarrassment when I burst into a steady stream of silent tears when I realized that my very first blood donation failed.

I also recently saw the movie Julie & Julia, and now, like many others I'm sure, I find myself with a renewed interest in cooking and blogging. Perhaps the story of Ear Girl will soon find itself to a movie screen near you (*snort*).
