Umm... Happy Thursday?

So I just watched a fireworks show from my apartment window. Doesn't it seem random to have fireworks on August 10th? Is this another crazy NB holiday I haven't heard of? Perhaps a belated NB Day celebration? I'm still pumped up over the novelty of watching fireworks while inside. Perhaps I imagined it all. Weirdness.
